Can anyone recommend a piece of hardware that will clean up the power being fed to my computer? Certain appliances cause my screen to get a little wavy and we get occasional brown-outs. I know a UPS is an option but, they're bulky and expensive. I'm using a Monster Power strip right now and from what I can tell it doesn't filter any more than a $10 Radio Shack special.

The Monster Power strip should do the trick, they make nice equipment, a bit over priced but nice. I always use and recommend Panamax surge protectors.
I would take some stuff out of the power strip...obviously there isn't enough power is being sent to everything
Nope, it's not a matter of overloading. It's the quality of the power in my house that's the issue. Plus the fact that I'm sharing a circuit with a couple of 'noisey' appliances like the dishwasher.
