emails from microsoft?

I've been getting 'critical updates' via emails from microsoft.

I didn't open them or install them. I checked windows update on microsoft.com and I didn't need any updates.

What's going on here?

This has been going on since the Msblast worm/exploit.
My wife gets about five of these a day.
