| Short version, I've got a buttload of videos/ movies off the net. Ranging from street racing (the majority at something like 30 cds) to sci-fi fan films, etc. I'm trying to get them all converted to dvd now, and the orginization is a bit of a problem.
I want to build in interface that would be excel style (seems easiet), but giving each disk its own page, and let me search through all the pages easily.
To give an example: Once the db is built, I could search for a keyword like "k-car" and have it check all the pages, for that keyword.
Maybe its just that I don't know excel well enough, but it seems like I'm missing something.
I know this is not a simple question, but if anybody can suggest some reading or steps, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
J |

| You might look at some of the programs found by Google:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&newwindow=1&q=catalog+my+videos&btnG=Search
One thing to be aware of is the difference between a free-to-use program and a free download. The free download may be Trialware or Shareware, requires a purchase when or before it expires. And Trialware and Shareware can't simply be uninstalled at expiration then reinstalled to avoid the purchase, leaves something behind to prevent that which can only be disabled by a clean format and install of the OS.
I should have added that there's similar programs for books [got one for my church library] and for Audio CDs.
