| | I've encountered a problem with my PC that i've never had before. This only seems to happen when I initially turn my computer on, and will not happen while I am actually using the computer (as i am right now). As soon as i turn my computer on and it goes through boot sequence, my monitor's on/off button blinks, then turns off, whilst the monitor itself begins to blink rapidly, from a back-lit look to completely off, with no image displayed during the process. It will continue until i restart, where it may wait until after it correctly displays the boot screen before it begins again or it may not, it's completely intermittent. The boot process will follow through in any occurance, but nothing will display on the screen, just a very rapid blinking as explained above. To get it to run normally i basically have to cross my fingers and keep restarting until all seems well. This problem has only occured recently, within the passed week or so. I have not modified anything prior to this happening, it just started completely out of the blue. I suspect that i may have a bad PS, but it was replaced less than 3 months ago so I'm not sure. Other than the PS the PC has remained the same since i made it about 3 years ago.

| Does the computer look and sound normal when this happens? Have you tried reseating the video card and cable? Do have have another monitor to try or try yours on a different computer? You mentioned a new power supply. Was it for the monitor or computer?

| Everything sounds as it should, the video card is seated correctly. The Power supply was for the PC. I will have to try and find an adapter for my monitor so i can try it on my laptop (does not have a DVI input)
