| | Hi, my Norton Ghost C drive image is a whopping 6.9 GB, even if i use compression it does not come down to less than 6 GB. Is there a way i can split the image to fit in 2 dvd's? What would be the procedure for restoring the complete undivided image, in that case? |

| | Ghost has an option for splitting the image as it is being created, to whatever size you specify. The location of this option depends on what version of Ghost you are using. When it restores, it asks you automatically for the second disk. |

| | i am using Norton Ghost 11 and usually choose Ghost (normal) for creating the image (that's what i have been familiarized with), and i didn't notice any option for splitting. |

| | I don't have Ghost 11, only Ghost 12. On 12 there is an Advanced Options button where you can set the file size. I know Ghost 2002 and Ghost 10 both had this option too, but in different locations. |

| Hi, there is a z9 option that i have learn't about in Ghost 11, which splits the image into increments of 733Mb. I think that must be the one. However, since i have trimmed my C drive by uninstalling extra software, i am pleased to report that my image just about manages to stay under 4.7gb. thanks |

| | I assume z9 is a command line switch? You should be able to do it from within the program interface too. |
