| In my office system, all most all systems are running with process winflashguard.exe
I goggled to find out ..but there is not such kind of information available.
But when ever i put my pen drive I can see autorun.inf with this entries with folder ,system--->security-->FlashGuard.exe (worm control software)
[autorun]
open=System\Security\FlashGuard.exe -run
shell\Open=&Open
shell\Open\Command=System\Security\FlashGuard.exe -run
shell\Explore=&Explore
shell\Explore\Command=System\Security\FlashGuard.exe --run
can i know is this necessary or not... |

| I found the same file in one of friend's laptop 2 days ago. He said he probably got it from a usb pen drive. But he complained that his laptop was freezing while he tried to view DVD movies. I cleaned the WinFlashGuard.exe registry entries as well as deleted the file. The laptop was working fine since then and has not been freezing.
I don't know if that file is a protector as it says to be as Avast didn't detect it as a virus.
All I say is that if you have problems like program hangups kill that file. |
