| | hi, i accidentally deleted all the fonts in my font folder except for the default fonts, and then later that day i recovered all the fonts to back to the way it was, but now some of the programs i open are like huge as hell, and the fonts are all out of order. like when u open a program it has small fonts, but this time the fonts are like big, like it went from 8pt to like 24pt or something, i tried to change the theme and all that stuff in the properties but that didnt help very much...i think i screwed the font folder really badly....anyways is there a way to fix this? i dont want to reformat and start my day by reinstalling everything...im using a windows xp sp2....thanks in advance! |

| Welcome
First have you tried System Restore, restore back to a point before you had this issue.
Open Display in Control Panel.
On the Settings tab make sure the 'Screen Resolution' and 'Color quality' are set correctly.
On the Appearance tab make sure 'Font size:' is set to 'Normal'.
On the Settings tab click Advanced.
On the General tab,in the DPI setting list, click the dots per inch (dpi) setting you want to use, normal size is 96 DPI.
Restart your computer when prompted.

| If you have the Microsoft Windows XP installation disk try doing a Repair Install.
Configure your computer to start from the CD-ROM drive.
[Boot into the Bios and set your CD-Rom drive as first boot device].
For more information about how to do this, refer to your computer's documentation or contact your computer manufacturer.
Then insert your Microsoft Windows XP Setup CD,and restart your computer.
When the 'Press any key to boot from CD' message is displayed on screen, press a key.
Press ENTER when you see the message to setup Windows XP now, and then press ENTER displayed on the 'Welcome to Setup' screen.
Do not choose the option to press R to use the Recovery Console.
In the Windows XP Licensing Agreement, press F8 to agree to the license agreement.
Make sure that your current installation of Windows XP is selected in the box, and then press R to repair Windows XP.
Follow the instructions on the screen to complete Setup.
