| | Twice, I have followed the tweak instructions to disable the Vista welcome center, however when I restart my computer the Welcome Center still pops up. |

| | I don't know what tweak you tried, but here's what you need to do. 1) The easy way: Remove the check in the box in the lower left of the screen that says: "Run at Startup" or, the harder way: 2) Run Regedit - Navigate through HKEY_CURRENT_USER, Software, Microsoft, Windows, CurrentVersion, Run - Right click on the WindowsWelcomeCenter key and select Delete.

| Are you logged on as administrator when you edit the registry? When you delete that key and reboot, does the key reappear or is it gone? Have you unchecked that box in the Welcome Screen?

| | I log on as administrator. I went back and tried it again. The Welcome Center flashes BRIGHTLY for a fraction of a second then disappears. If I pass the mouse over the small box to left of the START, it flashes again and disappears. My startup has now slowed down and each of the desk top icons goes blank in batches and reappear. |

| | Also, there is Welcome Center folder just below the Webckeck folder in the registry editor. |
