| | hey i just installed vista 64bit home premium a couple days ago and i have lately been getting this error that just says 'ip helper has stopped responding' then all my internet stops working for a couple seconds and then works again. its not that big of a deal i just would rather it not happen. any idea on how to fix this? google didnt have much information. btw it only happens maybe once a day |

| Welcome to the forum
Try this:
Click on Start/All Programs/Accessories/Run,type Services.msc then hit Ok.
Scroll down and find the service called:
Ip Helper
When you find it, double-click on it.
In the next window that opens, click the 'Stop' button.
Then change the 'Startup Type:' to 'Disabled'.
Now press Apply and then OK and close any open windows.
Restart your pc.
Let us know whats happening now.
