Hello Allen, I saw your site on one of my many computer magazines that I subscribe to. I think that it was PC Mag, but don't quote me on that. I have been messing with computers for about 8 years now. I started surfing the web and putting orders in at work on their computers since around 2000. I have had my own computer for about 5 years now. I purchased an older computer in 2003, off of my ex-wife of all people and at that time, I was very green still, when I purchased it, so I didn't know what I was getting until I started surfing the web with it. It was an older model, I think it was from some place called Computer Wharehouse? It had 384 MB of RAM and a 60 GB Hard drive and thats it. No Ethernet on it, just a phone line for surfing the web. I just purchased a new computer though last March and already the prices are going down! I had a local computer geek who owns his own shop, build it for me, but what I paid him last year to build it for me, I could purchase one now, that has a lot more hardware in it then the one that I have now!

As far as my expertise, I am a novice user. I know enough to get by, but nothing too technical. Anything that involves drivers, is out of my field of expertise. My wife and kids think that I am good with a computer, boy do I have them fooled! I feel right now, that I could pretty much build one myself, but I wouldn't attempt it with out some kind of professional back-up. I just mainly surf the web, check my email, play a few on-line games and burn a few C.D.'s. But, I have been wanting to install a game card, but nothing fancy, so I can ourchase some computer games. Just something mid-range. I do though subscribe to a lot of magazines about computers. My wife and kids have a laptop that I bought them, that way they leave mine alone! Well, thats about it. If you have any questions, feel free to email me.
