In my registry all three of those entries are present. However, I'm using a third party visual style, logon screen, and boot screen. The background key is of a string value. It's value in my registry is [0 0 0] (without the []'s). Alas, I've no idea how to associate the value to the color you want. I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help, I just happened across this registry tweak and remembered this thread. Now that I look at it more closely, I believe that the tweak is somewhat misnamed, and that the "background" that is referred to is really the screen background and not the color of the box.

thanks for the link. At the moment i have no internet at home so i have to go to a coffee shop near my house. It try that tweak and let you know if it worked as soon as get the Infernet back on. Thanks again.
