i've got a hp dl380 server which i used the SmartStart disk to create one array of two disks for mirrorerd system disks, and another four disks for a RAID 5 array.

in case you dont know, the Smart Start then prompts for the OS meida to be use and performs install.

Ive just looked in Disk Management to create a volume on the unallocated space, but when selecting New Volume from the menu only Striped is active all other options are grayed out.

I a member of the Administrator group, so rights should nt be an issue.

Can anyone help, as ive been unable to find any refernce on TechNet.
