| Which of the four versions of Vista do you have the problem on? Does the computer meet or exceed the System Requirements in all respects?

| Can it be your anti virus software?
Kaspersky can be very intrusive

| | If you open My Computer and hit Alt, it will drop down the legacy menu. Click 'Tools' > 'Folder Options...' > Select the 'View' Tab and check the box that says 'Launch Folder Windows In A Seperate Process' This will modularize the explorer.exe process into several sub processes. So when the one thread that crashes does so, it will not affect the other window processes and you will only have to close that one single window. This setting is also known to stabalize some problems under some circumstances, but it is not enabled by default because it uses more memory. -Brian
