so i was asking on an early post about adding stuff to the windows xp cd, like office and such. thanks to Berton i got a link to the motherload of stuff. The Problem now is the cd is not being recognized as a boot disk!!

when i burnt the dvd and reinserted it, the autorun feature worked exactly as it should, the exact effect im getting off of my regular xp disk im getting. But when i tried to use it on virtual pc, im getting a msg to insert a boot disk

i had already set everything for it to properly boot off of the disk, but yet when the system is booted if u acess the dvd everything is working fine. you can update or fresh install, the option menu opns as it should.

A CD can be made bootable but it requires extracting a very-hidden file from the WinXP CD first and making it available to the CD Burning program. I use IsoBuster for that. http://www.isobuster.com/ For the purpose its use is free.

This is the necessary file [zipped]:
