Well, story is this.....

Decided to finish the updates earlier today on my AMD K6-III PC (yes, its working fine now.... yay)....

Well, went to windows update and it downloaded and installed fine..... but when I restarted my PC I found a huge suprise... the entire "Programs" section including Assessories and all them goodies had been removed... gone... and I do not know how to restore them. I can restore some of them by reinstalling but that would be a very large hassle.

The programs are still on the PC and all its just they are not in the start menu anymore. Any ideas????

Are there still updates for Windows 98 SE ??
I believed there is no more support for this OS.
Which update did you install?
Is it displayed under control panel/software?

Well, I finished updating it. It had not been updated since late 2004. But since the update I am averaging 98% Uptime. = )
