I usually lisen to r&b, rap, hip-hop and reggae but I would like to get into rock music but I don't know were to start .

The song by Breaking Benjamin - so cold is what inspired me to start
spreading my horizons so any rock song just like it or close enough is
great to me .

If threre is any other great rocks songs that follow that style please yet me know.

Here's a sample of "Breaking Benjamin - so cold": here (392kb)

And also, can someone tell me what album is that song from? I what to buy the cd.

haha, omg where to start....

Sounds to me you would like P.O.D, or Papa Roach (Im just judging by
the singers and beat to that song really). But rock is so wide. I love
Rock/Punk to no end. I have Over 1000 songs on my computer right now
. Um.. have you heard punk before? (im sure you have, but do you like
it any?) all my songs are rock/punk. so, i got a 1000 suggestions :-)

try The Outsiders by R.E.M. featuring Q-Tip

its a cross of rock and rap.

as well as the 1991 R.E.M. song RADIO SONG which feature KRS-ONE.

they are good songs to slowly make the transition from rap/hip-hop to rock

That song reminded me of A Perfect Circle, a great band lead by Tool's singer Maynard James Keenan and Billy Howerdel, check them out. Give Tool a listen as well, one of the best bands around these days IMO.

Tool and A Perfect Circle are probably the best bands out there today.

For a great new band, check out Silvertide. Their debut record is excellent.

Hmm, in terms of rock music (and some may debate the genre here), my
favourite band have to be The Red Hot Chili Peppers, with Guns N Roses
(which some may argue is metal, not rock) coming a close second.

I used to like Feeder, however their recent album, Comfort In Sound, did disappoint me.
Guns N Roses (which some may argue is metal, not rock)
Anyone to argue that they are metal needs to have a cat scan.

I listen to Metal (Fear Factory, Static-X, Chimaira, Mudvayne, Metallica (1980's), Slayer, etc) and little punk, not the emo stuff, ahhhhh EMO... garg. Most punk I listen to is NOFX, Anti-Flag, Rise Against!, Rancid (prob my favorite punk/ska). Most people automatically think I'm against the government because I listen to that, I listen to it because it sounds good not for what the lyrics are, even though they are well written.

Tool is probably my favorite band out of all of them, I have a 6 foot high poster of the band on my wall . I like APC too, but I wasn't too fond of Thirteenth Step, Mer de Noms was better.

Deftones is probably my favorite "rock" band, next in line would be -scrolls through ipod- probably Nine Inch Nails.

Also, why do people consider Radiohead rock? I gave them a try (thought it was utter crap) and I still don't know why it's considered rock... beats me.
