Hello,

In XP it was possible to put Del, Cut, Copy etc. on Windows Explorer to use them for Cut, Del, Copy etc operations. How can we do this in Vista?

Thank you.

It might help if the description of what you want to do included the actions that can be taken in WinXP's Windows Explorer, i.e. you can right-click the Toolbar, go to Customize and choose which icons/shortcuts you want showing on the Toolbar.

And it could be that since the actions you want to perform are on the right-click menu it wasn't necessary to put them elsewhere.

Berton,

It is certainly a matter of habit but if the purpose of icons on the task bar is to make certain tasks easier that functionality is no longer there or I could not find them. Yes right click will bring tasks such as cut, delete copy etc. to a click away but think for a minute:

If you choose an item in the file list to copy it somewhere you click on the name, then right click then move down to copy then click on it: this is all together 3 clicks. But if there is an icon for copying on the task bar, you reduce number of clicks to one less. This what a GUI based program should be doing: less clicks more productivity.

So tell me where do you right on click to choose customize task bar and add Delete, Copy and Paste icons? I could not do it!

In WinVista's Windows Explorer I find the Cut, Copy, Paste under Organize on the Toolbar.

There's only one Taskbar in Windows and can have one or more Toolbars on it. Programs have the Menu bar and Toolbars.
