Hey guys. I recently got Director status on YouTube and I figured someone here might know this, but I don't know how to cut movies so they aren't so long, for instance, I have a long movie that I got rights to submit on YouTube but it's 1 hour and 20 minutes, and it told me I couldn't submit a video that large. I need help cutting the video into two sections rather than one large one. Any help will be appreciated!

Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit Edition with SP1
Nvidia 9800 GT Graphics Card

"Hey guys"????? Might be some girls here too!!!!!!

What's the limit on posting videos? I've not seen anything larger than about 12 minutes.

LOL!

The limit on YouTube for videos is 10 minutes if your not a Director, but I am, so you can submit longer movies to YouTube. But I guess there's a limit even as a Director, so I need to cut some of my videos in half.

There has to be some way to cut videos in half, some sort of program per-se. Any ideas where I could find such program?

virtual dub is a freeware program, that can cut without Re-Decompression.  so if the compression is already done, its a way to CHUNK out sections, or remove things like say commertials, without loss.
LOSS is the main things, you can use about anything to decompress a video then recompress it, but Vdub has a "direct" mode for botht the audio and the video, that makes cutting sections in or out fast, AS LONG AS,  its on a keyframe.   keyframes have all the data, wheras the other P and B type frames are dependant on the previous data.

anyways its fairly simple to use , will do what you want.
