| I have been doing a bit of tinkering with Vista and thought I was doing fairly well until I came to launch Media Center and I got the following error.
"Windows cannot open this program because it has been prevented by a software restriction policy. For more information contact your system administrator."
Seems like a strange error to get but by the by. Anyway ....
I looked to uninstall media center then reinstall it to see if that fixed the problem but the old hidden .inf file (used to use it in xp to remove and add windows components) isnt lying around and nothing similar appears to be available as an option. Would anyone have any idea how to either -
1) Uninstall and reinstall MC ?
or
2) Solve the software restriction policy ?
Hopefully someone can come up with a few ideas or a soloution, I am all out of them for now
PS: Nice site, I think I will stick around. I love to tweak / break windows
