| | Is there a way to enable Aero on build 5384 with an unsupported graphics card? I tried the EnableMachineCheck registry edit but that didn't work. I appreciate your help, Gir77 |

| By what I understand about the hardware requirements for Windows Vista, an unsupported graphics card won't support the Aero function of Vista.
Here is Microsoft's recommendations for supported GPU's.
Click on the manufacturer of your video card to see if it is listed. If not, then chances are that it won't support WDDM. (Windows Vista Display Driver Model)

| I realize that, but still if there is any way to enable Aero in 5384 I would at least like to try it out if I could.

| The only way to "try it out" would be to buy a supported graphics card. When I say unsupported, I mean simply that. The graphics card simply won't understand what Vista is telling it what to do. An unsupported device doesn't have the hardware requirements to process the information that the operating system or program is telling it what to do.

| I wanted to try it out like you could do in the TweakVista utility. I tried the utility but I guess it doesn't work with build 5384. I have the drivers installed for my graphics card.
