I can't remember if this has been mentioned already, but since it hasn't been fixed yet, I'll assume it hasn't ....

When you click the little speech bubble icon thing to quote a reply. The code that comes out will sometimes put the closing "quote" tag a couple of lines after the quoted text. When it does this, the quoted reply shows up in forum code. In other words, if the closing quote tag is not immediately after the last character of the quoted text, it won't work properly. For example:

Hello World

works, because the closing tag is right after the "d" in the word "World".

Hello World

does not work because the closing tag is a couple of lines after the last character of text.

Hello World

also does not work.

I haven't tried this in Internet Explorer, only with Firefox. But regardless, this is obviously a bug. Not a big one, but a bug none-the-less.

Vector - I tried it with IE and this is what I got!  I think the [/color] is messed up because there is no beginning for the tag!

Sorry. That color tag shouldn't have been there. I was playing around with that, and forgot to remove the opening tag.

The reason yours worked, DY, is because I have no extra spaces after my last line of text. So the closing "quote" tag is immediately following the last word in my post.

Try to quote this reply. I'm going to put a couple of blank lines at the bottom.

Actually, I'll just quote myself.

See? Doesn't work because of the extra blank lines at the bottom.

What do you see?

All I did was hit the "quote" button and added these comments!

Look at my last reply (the one before this one). See how when I quoted my own post it just put the tags around it? It didn't display it like it should.

The way it is supposed to look, is how it looks in your posts. When you quote my posts, it puts it in a little box with my name at the top. So I'm assuming you're using IE? So the problem must only happen in Firefox.

Wait a minute ... another thing on this board that works in IE, but doesn't work in Firefox? I'm shocked!
