Do you have a copy of Vista? I certainly wouldn't put it on a production machine, one that is needed for work or browsing. Could leave you without a computer if things don't work right. Apparently there is not going to be a Release Candidate or Beta 2 version of Vista.

Oops, forgot to put in the link to Richie's post about Vista:

Thanks you for the information.

And not really I mostly use my PC to play world of warcraft and design websites, also to make simple applications, but I mean worth moving from windows xp sp2? I mean if you compare it wich you like more, wich you feel works better in your pc at the moment?

Claims abound that Vista is much better than XP and more secure. Well, the same claims were made when XP arrived on the scene. XP is a heck of lot more stable than Win98 & ME, but how secure it is remains to be fixed!  I personally will not be migrating to Vista any time soon. Also, many are in for a big surprise regarding the hardware requirements need to run Vista effectively.

I would argue that Vista is much more secure than XP.  Microsoft has learned a lot in the last few years with all of the security related problems that the company had to deal with.

As for running Vista on your primary machine, well, I am not doing that just yet. If the Feb CTP is good, I will.

Steve,

I'll believe it when I see it.

Steve,

I'll believe it when I see it.

Do a search on google for Vista User Account Protection.  That is one of the new security features.
