| | Hi Guys, Just clarification really, hen doing an ASR restore are the following steps correct: Boot machine with 2003 cd-rom F2, insert ASR floppy, the floppy restores disk signatures, volumes and partitions Next basic OS installed which allows critical files such as the Registry to be installed from the ASR Backup Set Then restore last full backup and finally your remaining backup tapes I hope this procedure is right but really just wanted clarification when the ASR Backup set was used. Thanks |

| | Boot machine with 2003 cd-rom--correct F2, insert ASR floppy, the floppy restores disk signatures, volumes and partitions--also contains information of location of ASR backup set. The regular install of the OS then takes place. When that is completed, ASR kicks in and restores all operating system files including system state. You should then restore your data from tape.
