| | hi everyone, i have a problem updating my computer to SP2. i was able to install sp1 on my computer and my OS is windows xp professional edition. i was able to download the SP2 upgrade but i can't install it. can anyone help me or give me reasons why this problem occurs?. one of my theories is that i have a fake installer/serial # upon installing my OS and so wasn't able to cooperate w/ windows upadate. can i tweak the registry regarding this matter? how?. thanks. i hope you can lend me some help..thanks. orly |

| Did you run the software validation from windows update? That would comfirm your possible theory.

| | im sorry if that made quite a stir on the part of the moderator but i didn't intend to promote the use of illegal software or piracy. its not my fault if the cd that i bought was actually fake..maybe i should try to be more meticulous the next time i buy. thanks anyway. |
