| | I've had Ad-Aware SE from Lavasoft for a few months and just updated it a couple weeks ago. When I click Check for updates, I get the message Error retrieving update. I've been to their website and it didn't help does anyone know how I can download the updates. I know I can download them from the site but I don't know how to open the with Ad-Aware SE and I'd rather fix the problem then find a way around it. Current definitions are 20 days old. |

| They have released a new version in the past few weeks, version 1.06, so you need to update to the current version then it should update fine.

| | This is a duplicate post from here, please do not start new threads with every question about the same problem. Did the suggestion in the other thread help or not?

| Don't know what you mean 'erase everything',all your doing is uninstalling Adaware through Add Remove Programs, then rebooting.
