I have 2 Questions ?

1)after installing service pack2,i turned off automatic updates on my system,after restarting the system it asks to turn on the automatic updates,though i tried to disable in services it is not working please can anybody help

2)some microsoft related ctfmon.exe starts at the start up,though i tried stop using msconfig it is not working !...again it starts after next bootup?how to stop this?or it is necessary to run ctfmon.exe?
