| | After Installing SP2, my printer no longer works.I tried to Reinstall only to get the error message "Hardware installation failed,the RPC Server is not available.At first I thought it said service instead of Server so I checked all services and they looked OK.I checked MS Knowledge data base, and found a few similar references that applied to Win 2000, and looked into them to see if any of those solutions might help, but all seemed to be OK on my system.I didnt think my small workgroup enviroment network would cause this but I unistalled the network features and deleted the references to same from the registry, and the Printer would now install and work, but after setting up the network again(used for internet sharing only) the printer is gone again and will not install.Anyone else having similar problems or have any ideas how to fix this??? |
