Click Start/Run,type [b]regedit[/b] then press Ok
Navigate to the following registry key:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\Folder\Hidden\[b]SHOWALL[/b]

Delete the value [b]CheckedValue[/b] in the right hand window. (Its type should be REG_SZ and data should be 2.)

Now create a new [b]DWORD[/b] value called [b]CheckedValue[/b] (same as above, except that the type is REG_DWORD). Modify the value data to [b]1 (0x00000001).[/b]

[b]Restart your pc.[/b]
You should now be able to change the "Hidden Files and Folders" option.

I just encounter the same case.

Whenever i try to change it to show hidden file, after i apply and ok.
then go back, it will show still in the do not show hidden file ....

Please Help me if You can...
