I didn't get back to this earlier, a bit busy and have spells of CRS.

This is a pretty good treatise on the subject even though it doesn't mention WinXP as such:

Not mentioned is the need to hit Enter at the end of the last line in the oeminfo.ini file before saving.

ok i understand what you are saying berton, but im confused. in the system32 folder, are you sayin all i need to do is to copy the bitmap image and the script with it for it to work ? the last time i tried it i was told to put the files in a folder name $$ and then insert it into the system32 folder. i tried it and it didnt work. so i would like if u can be more detailed as to how to go about doing this.

Secondly the office, so are u sayin there is a possiblity that it could be added even if it is done on a dvd , and if so, how do i go about doin so ...

i would really like to know how to do this and i like to experiment with these OS's and i have a rack full of blank dvds also

A logo that shows in Properties of My Computer consists of two files, an oemlogo.bmp file and an oeminfo.ini file.
Example of the oeminfo.ini file:

Manufacturer=OEM
Model=OEM
SupportURL=
[Support Information]
Line1="CALL YOUR LOCAL DEALER FOR HELP"
Line2="I built it, I'll fix it!"

There has to be a blank line as the last. The words after the = can be whatever.

The .ini file can exist alone but the .bmp file requires the .ini file.

Both files need to be copied into the C:\Windows\System32 Folder.

As for including Office, I don't think there'd be room on the CD. I never saw WinXP available on DVD except for the Media Center Edition.

slipstrreaming in xp

i slipstreamed sp.2 in xp already and it worked verygood, i tried to also enter the my personal system properties info.e.g logo and contact info, but it didnt work. so do any of you all know how to sucessfull add such info through slip streaming and is it possible for me to also add in my office 2007 exe. files etc to the disk so that they are all installed on a fresh install ?

tried looking every where for this , got no results......
