Anyone else trying the above,i suggest you first create a new System Restore point as a precationary measure.

This should work,try it again and take your time:
Download\unzip '[b]_nw_uxtheme_v254.zip[/b]' to your desktop,which is attached to the bottom of this post.
Double click on '[b]UXTheme Multi-Patcher[/b]',click on '[b]Patch[/b]' and carefully follow the prompts/instructions.

I know it expired I just firgured you would help instead of me making a new thread for no reason when your just gonna tell me to do what he did. and i just told you it didnt work.

My Wb expired too and I pmed you about it.

no!!!!

i just uninstalled wb and now everything is messed up im on getto theme xp..

i want my themes back i tried to system restore but it says cannont be restored to thatr day on everyday i choose.

i dled the patch thing
and the .dll.old thing
tried those themse but none work

From time to time you'll get that with different themes,but overall installation will be successful:)

Looks like it was just an issue with the theme I had originaly picked. Found a simular one, doesn't run as slow as the other one, and best of all not bright dark and easy on the eyes.

Download 'Luna Element 5.0.5' to your desktop:

Double click on the 'Le505' icon on your desktop.
In the opening window (image attached) click on the 'Install' button,then click on 'Close' in the following window that opens.
Now go to Display Properties>Appearance tab.
Can you see 'Luna Element 5' in the list.
If you can try applying it.
Let me know what happens.

Sorry for the double post but I just restarted as it told me to do, and the theme I chose and put in the folder you said, and it won't reconize it, as in it doesn't appear on the list of themes on appearance tab.

[b][color="red"]First create a new System Restore point as a precaution.[/color][/b]
If you have'nt done so already,uninstall [b]Windows Blinds[/b],then reboot.
Download\unzip the patched file [b]6.0.2900.2180_EN.zip[/b](uxtheme.dll) which is attached to the bottom of this post,to your desktop.
Go to C:\WINDOWS\System32 and rename [b]uxtheme.dll[/b] to [b]uxtheme.dll.old[/b]
Put the new (patched) uxtheme.dll into the C:\WINDOWS\System32 folder.
If you get any warnings from Windows stating that an original system file has been replaced,you must click "[b]Cancel[/b]",otherwise the new (patched) uxtheme.dll will be replaced with the original one.
Reboot when you've finished.

If you don't fancy doing the above,do the following instead.
Download\unzip '[b]_nw_uxtheme_v254.zip[/b]' to your desktop,which is also attached to the bottom of this post.
Double click on '[b]UXTheme Multi-Patcher[/b]',click on '[b]Patch[/b]' and follow the prompts.

Once you've downloaded your visual style,unzip it to:
[b]C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes[/b]
Then go into 'Display Properties' under the 'Appearance' tab,there you can select and apply your style.
Done.
