I also copied a folder and made a custom .htt to portect some files. One thing i still dont get, How/Why do the folders show up as files?

RE: HP's Mysterious Ghost Folder(s)

The basic premise of a second partition holding the Restore/Recovery files is that it is not supposed to be worked on by the end user, could screw up any chance of using it for its intended purpose. Or in other words, the best advice is to keep your mitts out of it unless you have the CDs or DVDs that do the same thing.

HP's Mysterious Ghost Folder(s)

My Vista Laptop came with a Recovory Partion, Okay thats fine.
But, being the curious person I am, I want to look at it, So I figure I'll just open explorer and go to g:\,
But there is only 1 content. A 'file' with a picture of a pink hard disk or a grey stone wall based on icon size.
http://forum.tweaks.com/forum/Attachment903.aspx
after enabling OS and hidden folders in folder options, I was able to see a bunch more files,
http://forum.tweaks.com/forum/Attachment905.aspx
but none could be opened. even the $recyclebin thingy wouldnt reveal its content, I always got the same message.
http://forum.tweaks.com/forum/Attachment906.aspx
Does anyone have any ideas how to: View these files, or make my own files\folders that do this
