Follow instructions after you down load the file, if you have probs getting permission i went out of vista and booted to dos prompt and did the old copy file.

Give it ago it worked for me, like all mods you do at OWN risk

vista build 5600.. need help Evaluation Remover??

hey, i was told that you can remove the windows vista (TM) RC1 Evaluation Copy. Build 5600 thats is in the bottom right hand corner by. going here

Start>Run>regedit>\HKEY_Current_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
On the right side, try to find the key named as"PaintDesktopVersion", and modified it, change the "1" to "0".

but i tried it and it was already set to "0".. and it didn't work has anyone found out how to do it yet.. would love to know
