I had the same problem in vista. where print CD. Did not work. I have tried the manual setting, BUT, when I print the CD the printing starts off-centre and half way down the disc. Does anybody know how I can cure this.

Hello Again,

After my last post I tried printing again with the software. Although the error appeared, I was able to print to my Epson Photo Stylus R300 using the "Manual Print" button in the dialog.

Manual print seems to invoke the standard Epson print dialog box, and when I selected "Manual" and "CD/DVD" in that dialog and printed, the artwork printed perfectly on the media.

If you're having this issue, you may want to try using the "Manual Print" option. You don't get the precision alignment tool, but it seems to work fine.

BTW, the software CD arrived today, free of charge, from Epson. I installed it and now I do not get that error dialog when I go to print. I'm not sure how to determine what additional code was installed, but if I locate the element that fixed the problem, I will post more information here.

When I bought my R300 the software CD was cracked in half. I was able to get drivers online, and I use Photoshop quite a bit, so I just made a template that would print in registration. Recently though, I've wanted a quicker way to make labels, so I started looking for the software online. I was able to find a download from international Epson sites, but like those above, I had issues launching the software after running the installation. I placed the .dll and .ini files (see above) in /windows/system32 and the software runs, but I also have the issue with the "driver for printer not installed."

This seems odd, as I have had the printer drivers installed for years. I wish I had a solution to post, but at this point I'm on the phone with Epson Tech Support to try and get a replacement CD. It may come for free, or it may cost me $10 since I'm long out of warranty.

Just got off the phone with support and they're shipping out a new CD at no cost. It will be here in 5-10 days. If I can diagnose the missing components, I'll provide more information here.

Have tried for over a year to get my Epson R265 to run CD Print. All other software works fine. Have downloaded every upgrade driver/software package available and tried all suggestions by everyone I have found on the web. I have already removed Vista from my laptop and reverted to the musch loved XP where ALL my software and hardware works.

I have lost count of the hours and Days I have spent trying to get my laptop and PC to communicated. I have had to replace several items of hardware, that although only a year/18 months old were not compatible with Vista (Scanner and Webcam to name but 2 items) and, in all honesty, the whole structure of Vista is so confusing as to make it totally unfriendly.

In deperation I am off to PC World to buy a new Printer - If that doesnt work I will remove Vista from my PC and return to the sane and operative world of XP.

I have yet to meet anyone that likes Vista

Im in the same boat.! with an R290 !

Have added the files in the download but STILL the darn " The EPSON Printer driver dealing with CD is not installed" error.. This is sooooo frustrating.. I have had the R210 and an R230 running. (both crapped out after a relatively short live) and now this.. Im about to give up on Epson!

....... but sincei have a new R290 sitting here.. anyone help .. please ??

Hi , am running v1.50 of Epson Print CD, I have installed files PICEntry.dll--PICSDK.dll--PICSDK.ini--PICSDK2.dll-- into Windows/System32 folder, and I still get message " The Epson printer driver dealing with CD printing is not installed. So I have now run out of possible solutions.

I had the same problem with my Epson R260 Stylus. You need the CD printer driver. You can get it from the epson.com web site. Go to site, and then drivers and support, click on printers and then select the style of printer and then model. Then click on drivers and downloads. The first selection after that will be the Epson easyprint driver. Click on the + to see the download now link. Hope this helps.

Hi,

I'm new. I appreciate getting the picsdk.dll file for my Epson. Thankyou so much. :)

I now have another error message when I try to print on a CD. The message is "The Epson Printer driver dealing with CD printing is not installed."

I went to the Epson web site and re-downloaded and installed the drivers but I'm getting the same message.

Does anyone have an idea of how to correct this problem? Thankyou in advance.

im a new member and im looking forward of learning from you and sharing what i know.:D

by the way i also have the same problem w/ my printer whenever i try to run my print cd software... its giving me thesame PICSDK.DLL error msg.

some say its an epson issue, thats why i uninstalled and reinstalled the driver and the software print cd... but nothing :(

a rep from epson said that this is a microsoft issue so i called microsoft but they said it is an epson issue.

i really dont know what to do now. is it a microsoft or an epson issue?
