First try selecting a default forum image,lets make sure that works first.
Go into your Control Panel,click on 'Edit Avatar'.
In the right hand side window at 'Avatar Galleries',you should see a dropdown menu,'Avatar Set 1' and 'Avatar Set 2'.
Click on 'Go' to the right of the dropdown menu.
You should then see a list of forum avatar images.
Select the image you want by clicking on the small circle/button just underneath your image.
Then press the 'Update' button at the bottom.
Exit Control Panel.

Open the Control Panel link above and look at what you can do in the left column. It should have shown when you registered.

Also, it's noted that you've responded to some posts that are quite old, maybe those original posters are no longer around, the problem has been fixed, the computer has been junked or they are no longer interested. Anything left unanswered after a couple of weeks or a month may be a dead issue.
