Hey,

The server that that forum software is running on has its own bare bones mail server that I did not have configured properly. It should be setup correctly now.

I just got off the phone with a tech from my email provider who said according to your SMTP error message that TWEAKS is not using a FULLY QUALIFIED DOMAIN NAME and that that's an RFC ISSUE regarding spam prevention. And their server doesn't even see emails without it.

I said wow, but they're a very serious tech website, I can't imagine they're doing anything wrong?? the tech said indeed it is quite rare that postmasters don't use a F.Q.D.N. and suggested a Tweaks administrator contact postmaster@myprovider to correct the situation...

So what do you think of that?

Okay. It appears there is a problem getting through. You might want to check with your ISP and make sure we are not on a black list. Here's the message I got when sending your email:

I'd considered that, and scrutinized my history folder where all spam deletion/filtered results are shown, I had nothing from tweaks there. And I did receive the private message...

Good post Floyd. I sent tallard a PM earlier today telling him what email address we have for him and suggesting he check his junk / spam settings :)

First, check to see that your email address is correct in your profile. If it is, then there may be a problem with some spam filtering or such on your end. Do you have any filters set up?

Well folks, it sounded good, I've subscribed to my last 4 posts, have had replies on them, but still I've received no notifications in my email.... mystery?

Or you can click on "Topic options" at the upper right hand corner of the topic you are reading and subscribe to the topic and select immediate email notification.

When you post something, scroll down to Topic Subscription Notification Type, and choose immediate notification.

Hello all, I've been posting occasionnally here but have no idea how to find in my settings where I select to receive email notifications of replies to my posts, that would be so nice as presently I'm having to go the the computer every couple of hours to check...
