hi all!

need help on how i can configure about this!
if i ping my network or internet connection! i got a timeout! what should i do?

every time i get this error

all i do is to write some text thats it
and it give me this error

i need to try many times till it send me the post

why this is happening

I log in to the site but if I wish to post a new subject or add a reply I always have to log in again to post. Can anybody advise which particular setting I need to change, either in the board or PC settings. The O/S is Vista Premium.

Well I've been in Tweaks website for quite a time now. I love it. I am wondering though, why is there lots of 5 year old topics still here? Why don't just delete it and save bandwidth?

I was just curious, I open Tweaks in two separate windows to read and copy in one, and to respond to posts and paste in the other, does doing so count as two visits?

This Tweak needs to be noted that it does NOT work in Vista Home Premium (most likely Basic and Business too - I know it works in Ultimate)through the gpedit.msc way. There may another way through the registry but I am not sre of it.

I am confused a little.

In the pinned, newbies please read this first section, it indicates a preference for "getting it right the first time" and not confusing those asking for help, with both of these being that which separates this website from other "support" sites.

So, since I don't understand the print outs yet, I guess when I have looked at one of the problems presented, I see a clear case for determining Hard Drive manufacturer, downloading the Hard Drive diagnostics and testing for a failing hard drive. At least that is the approach I have been taking for years on similar situations.

But, again, since I am new and do not understand the printouts yet, I am unsure as to when such a suggestion would be appropriate post, while still respecting this forum's guidelines. I guess, I believe it would be helpful if the suggestions included the rational utilized to arrive at the suggestion. I also know that this can be enormously time consuming, esp. when often (as an expert) you just know this or that needs to be done to further troubleshoot a situation.

I hope noone is offended by this post, I am just curious about the process, in which, I would like to participate, but do not wish to create problems, especially for those who have obviously dedicated years of service, to help those of us who do not even understand the internal working of the Internet, nor our own machines. So, while we are trying to convert from users and abusers, to true owners of our pcs, in a way that I believe, you, not only understand, but cherish, as evidenced by your patience with us newbies and our machines, I trust this site can handle the questioning from a confused newbie.

A URL on tweaks.com not working anymore

Hey all ! :D

Awesome site this is, but unfortuneatly one of the links one of your articles doesnt work anymore. Its about hardware profile for gaming tweak, and the link is supposed to show a list of all services that can either be put to manual or disabled for the game Hardware profile.

I would very much appreciate to get a hold of that list. I know it used to work before like a couple years ago, but not anymore although the article is still online.
