Movies online?

Does anyone else watch movies online. I watch movies from http://www.watch-movies.net/ that require Firefox. I don't have it yet I can still watch the movies. Was wondering if anyone else is in the same boat. Maybe you can then answer a question for me. Like, why are the dark scenes nearly impossible to view? OK, that's all I got. Thanks.

Hi Everybody

With the weather the way it's been(Cold & Snowing) I haven't been able to get out and play golf, and the money I've saved is just burning a hole in my pocket, so I was figuring on going to my local comp. shop(Honest Jim's, Highest prices lowest quality) and buying a copy of Vista and another stick of RAM.

I was wondering how difficult it would be to triple boot XP, Vista, and Linux Feisty Fawn?

Maybe I'll wait until Monday & Play here, we usually play the blue tee's because we're cheap and figure more strokes per buck.

Question Re: Hard Drive Recycling?

Hey guys. So my hard drive failed the other day, and I called Dell and they had a new one sent out. The old one was taken by the tech presumably to be shipped back to Dell. I was able to back-up my data, but I had some personal data and financial information on my hard drive that I wish I had the time to delete. My question is: What will Dell do with the hard drive? Could my data possibly be viewed by Dell employees? Thanks!

I know that this is not going to help me right now as I am already a victim of theft. My wallet has been stolen and I have lost all my important documents that even included my financial details. I fear that they may be used to make my accounts drain. I have already taken the necessary steps for this but this is going to be a real danger in future as it is sometimes too late and by that time everything is gone. I wanted to know that if there are any pre-steps that we can take in case of wallet theft?

I dunno. Honestly all of the features mentioned so far for Windows 7, could easily be added to Vista simply through a service pack. Oh wait, isn't there one due out very soon? <- Pointing out the heavy sarcasm. Hopefully new pics featuring a possible UI change will come out soon.

I want to see something innovative outside of the GUI. something actually user friendly.
Like for example:
- a completely backwards compatible OS. One that doesn't need new drivers for everything after installing it.
- an OS that doesn't require you to get a new top of the line computer, since the old one pretty much blew up after installation, or ran slower than a computer you bought it back in 1992
- an OS that has the same sort of system architecture as the last, so power users (like many of us senior members) can easily make changes without having to relearn where those changes can be made

I want to hear what the folks at tweaks.com have to say about the up coming OS, and what they'd like to see in it.

Command Line Programming

I'm using a program called Launchy that's described as a "keystroke launcher." In essence, it's a nifty little program that allows me to launch any file I want very quickly without opening various folders. It's basically a glorified version of the Windows Search utility, but it's great. You can find it here: www.launchy.net . Sometimes, however, I like to open files with a program other than the default program. For example, oftentimes I will open an mp3 with Firefox or Windows Media Player instead of Winamp (which is the default) because I'll have something already set up on Winamp that I don't want to lose by opening another mp3 file. I went on the Launchy message board and asked if there might be a way that I could set up Launchy to open particular files using a non-default application. They said I might be able to do it using the Runny plug-in, which is basically a command line interface. Does anyone have any idea what set of command line commands would allow me to do that? Thanks!

By the way, under "Help" for the Runny plug-in it says: Write a command name and an executable path. Use $1 $2, etc. to mark places where your input will go.

Vista or XP?

Hey guys. I'm buying a new computer and I don't know if I want Vista or XP. Right now, the computer comes with Vista Home Premium, but for $75 I can down-grade to XP. I'm worried that certain software and all other stuff will be incompatible, etc. Should I pay the $75 and get XP or keep Vista?

Cash or Cashey?
