He said he probably got it from a usb pen drive. But he complained that his laptop was freezing while he tried to view DVD movies. I cleaned the WinFlashGuard.exe registry entries as well as deleted the file. The laptop was working fine since then and has not been freezing.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I don't know if that file is a protector as it says to be as Avast didn't detect it as a virus.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;All I say is that if you have problems like program hangups kill that file.</description><pubDate>Wed, 04 Jun 2008 01:10:51 GMT</pubDate><dc:creator>Terror</dc:creator></item><item><title>winflashguard.exe ??</title><link>http://forum.tweaks.com/forum/Topic240464-1-1.aspx</link><description>In my office system, all most all systems are running with process winflashguard.exe&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I goggled to find out ..but there is not such kind of information available.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;But when ever i put my pen drive I can see autorun.inf with this entries with folder ,system---&gt;security--&gt;FlashGuard.exe (worm control software)&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;[autorun]&lt;br&gt;open=System\Security\FlashGuard.exe -run&lt;br&gt;shell\Open=&amp;Open&lt;br&gt;shell\Open\Command=System\Security\FlashGuard.exe -run&lt;br&gt;shell\Explore=&amp;Explore&lt;br&gt;shell\Explore\Command=System\Security\FlashGuard.exe --run&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;can i know is this necessary or not...</description><pubDate>Mon, 02 Jun 2008 06:44:57 GMT</pubDate><dc:creator>Anil Kumar</dc:creator></item></channel></rss>
