Especially! In this day and age, there are new viruses everyday, you must be proactive.

Scan your PC once a week, check for new virus patterns once every few days, make sure your software has an Auto-file scan, that scans .exe's when looking at them in a folder or before they execute.

Remember, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure
