| Here's the problem...
I have 2 HDs. 1 is 120GB and the other is 100GB. The 120GB HD has 2 partitions, a 15GB partition and a 105GB partition (roughly). I have my OS (Windows XP) on the 15GB partition and program installed on the second partition. I have everything set up exactly the way I want it with everything working fine, latest updates, no erros or conflicts, etc. I'm using Drive Image 2002 to create images of both partitions. I'm not concerned about the second HD... only the 120, partitioned HD. The 2 images are OS.img and Programs.img. Obviously I can't compress the images enough to fit onto a single CD but I keep these images on the second HD (NTFS). I ran into the problem that if I want to do a fresh format of the first HD, I have no way of restoring these images without reinstalling Windows XP and Drive Image. Drive Image doesn't have an option to let me create a bootable disk to run the restoration program from a floppy. And I can't figure out how to create a bootable floppy that will read an NTFS drive. I want to continue to use DriveImage but I'm willing to try a different imaging program if I can somehow get this to work. Any ideas? I don't care if it's a bootable floppy or a bootable CD. Actually a bootable CD would probably be a little more secure and harder to corrupt. I have a bunch of mini CDs that I really have no use for, that I could use for this purpose. So... if anyone can help me out I would greatly appreciate it!

| You can download NTFSDOS to gain read access to an NTFS drive. This will allow you to copy your image file by booting to a floppy disk.
Any decent burning software will allow you to make a bootable CD.

| | yep,as relder said. also ,norton ghost will create a boot floppy with everything you need on it to boot from that floppy (if you can't get into windows) and do a perfect restore from a saved image on any ntfs partition or drive. |

Hi Rob
Could you please provide the link to download NTFSDOS. I once had that file and deleted it accidentially.
Thanks

| Cool! Thanks guys! NTFSDOS worked perfectly and so did Ghost. Aparently I've had Ghost all along and didn't know it. It came with my MSI Neo2 FIS2R mobo. But I was able to get PQ DriveImage to work as well. In fact I found a 3rd option that creates a bootable CD through the command prompt. Anything you want to place on the boot sector of a CD you place in a certain directory and this program will burn it all. So again... thanks for all the help!
