| Hi guys im new here, I have been building pcs for a long time, This issue is bogging my mind , was looking for assistance if possible i cant seemt to figure it out.I just built a new box that was running well for the first few days then i installed q3. All of a sudden the pc would just lock. Very odd. My temps are all fine CPU 30-40 case 30-35. I ahve an MSI k7n2Delta with an AMD 2500+, Barracuda 120 SATA, 1gb Geil 3200 ddr 400 running dual channel, Radeon 9500 Pro 128. I have 5 case fans in apporoximate intake exhaust locations.. Im stumped. It now locks on almost any app.

| No there arent any errors in event view which is puzzling me. I can seem to figure it out. Its sporadic. And btw its Leggo my Eggo
Im hoping its an issue that is possibly common so i can fix it. This Machine is fast and nice but the lock up occur in most games and apps. |

|
And btw its Leggo my Eggo
Ahh, yes.
you need to get the machine to stop restarting on errors so that you can get a BSOD and error message. Go to system properties (right click MyComputer > properties) > Advanced tab > under startup and recovery click settings > under System failure make sure "Write an event to the system log" is checked AND that "Automatically restart" is UNchecked. Click "OK" and reboot.
When you get your next BSOD, write down the entire STOP message. You can post it here for help and/or check it at this resource. http://aumha.org/win5/kbestop.htm

| | Well thats strange since it was diablo that was giving me the error the last time, i was able to play q3 for quite some time without errors before but i had ot restore as it seems it has a chance of being an XP problem. It just gave me the error a few moments ago and the even viewr is not showing the error. hmmm |

| Hey eggoman, have you tried running the DirectX Diagnostic Tool to see if it throws up any errors
