| My sister is currently using AOL for her email (dont ask why). She is going away to college, and will be provided with an email address from Penn State. Back at home, though, we have Comcast, and she is going to have an e-mail address from that. Can Outlook XP manage both her Penn State email address and her Comcasr email address? And, if so, how can I set that up.
BTW- i already have the pop3/smtp settings for both Comcast and PSU...i just need to know how to have 2 email addresses.

| Something else...
You will have to use the SMTP settings of your current ISP, regardless of what Penn State and Comcast provide you with. Refer to their instructions for all the other settings.

| But inside Outlook, it asks for the mail server info.
Ill look at what canadadude linked, but i'd need to be able to add smtp.comcast.net and whatever Penn State gives her. I'll look into it some more - test it out, and post back.
Thanks guys.

| Eh... no, not really.
I don't know the specs of Comcast and Penn State, and which ISP you're connecting to at home so I'll give a "sample sample":
e-mail address: ThaGirl@comcast.net
password: **********
incoming server: mail.comcast.net
outgoing server: out.aol.com
If you use an account outside of its network (in this example: if you use a Comcast account at home where you have AOL) and use the original outgoing server (smtp.comcast.net as you say) you won't be able to SEND e-mail.

| OOOOOOh. So when she's AT Penn State, both outgoing servers will have to be the Penn State servers? And the incoming ones will depend on the mail provider?

| Perhaps, Steno -- you should really contact their SysAdmin folks to find out some hard data on how their systems are set up!
