| Howdy all.
Im on my sister's new computer and I was trying to dsable/close Windows Messenger from the taskbar. She will never use it, so I was trying to get it off of there. I went into tools/options and told it NOT to start at boot-up. Then when I went to close the program, I got this:
There are other applications using features provided by Windows Messenger. You must close these other applications before you can exit Windows Messenger. These applications include Outlook, Outlook Express, MSN Explorer, and Internet Explorer.
Even with all of those progs turned off, i still get that error. Any suggestions?

| Hey Steno, is she running Norton AV (?) because if she is, turn off the option to check any of the 'Instant Messengers' within that program.
Did you check your msconfig to see what is really starting up in the background, too?
