I just installed XP Pro and Office XP. MS Outlook as my email program was working just fine. Yesterday I used Windows Update and I installed Norton AV 2003. After these two additions, my email gives an error message when I hit send & receive.
I decided to uninstall the updates one at a time so I could determine which one was causing problems. I first turned off NAV and that didn't fix the problem.
I could only uninstall five of the six updates and my email still doesn't work. My other networked computer works just fine.
BTW - here is the error code Task "my email address"- Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

I found my own answer. While playing more with NAV 2003, I discovered there is a place where you can set whether to check incoming email. When I uncheck it, I can now get my email as before. When I check to have NAV check incoming email, all I get is an error message in Outlook. Anybody know of this bug? Maybe this is NAV's way of keeping me from getting a virus from my email - just block it altogether.
