My computer can't seem to recognize my printer when i try to install it.  I tried checking to see if plug and play service was on and was.  I went to control panel and printer and faxes and tried to ad a printer but everytime i pressed on add printer it gave me a error "operation could not be completed".  The printer came with the computer so i know it is supposed to be compatible.  The printer is a usb connection.  What seems to be the problem?

Some printers require that the software (driver) be installed before connecting the printer. Not saying you haven't done this, but just in case....read the instructions that came with the computer & printer and make sure you follow them exactly.

I tried to install the installation disk and tried to run it than a box pops up and says that it couldn't find setup.exe.  What am i doing wrong?  And why does it say and error everytime i press on add printer in the control panel/printer and faxes saying "operation could not be completed.
