| Maybe I'm showing my ignorance here, but I know that to be a hardware matter not a 'utility' (specifically a BIOS setting that is motherboard dependent).
Can you elaborate further, adcmarti?

| Sorry for the lack of info. For example, if I am sitting on a network and I want to start a pc up that is currently turned off. The pc that is turned off has a wake on lan card. Isn't there some software that will allow you to start that pc up without having to physically push the power button.
That sounds more like a ramble rather than a elaboration.

| i have 2 laptops, one a compaq and the other is a Toshiba. the Toshiba has a system utility that allows the wake on lan utility and on the Compaq if i go to network connections and right click on Local Area Connection then click on configure the NIC you will see the options to Wake on Lan.
sorry if not clear, its late here in the Philippines! |

| I believe also you may need a cable from the network card to the motherboard as well. Not sure about this thought, but that has always been my impression.
