| I think that it is more stable than previous versions. Then again, if you configure your system correctly and don't install crap on it that you don't need, your system will always be stable.

| Agreed. Its the junk that people install that make systems unstable.
I've been running this since the first beta and each subsequent release was much better the prior. I currently have two installations running as domain controllers on my home LAN. Haven't had a problem with either.
Why this platform was not designed for workstations, I'm planning to upgrade my main PC running 2k advanced server to this platform this weekend.

| This site runs on Windows Server 2003 Standard... I have had no problems at all so far. It has been up for as long as two weeks so far without any reboots. The only time I had to reboot was when I was upgrading my RAM.

| I have an evaluation copy of 2003 enterprise edition.
It runs great on a pentium II 400mhz and 256 mbRam.
After changing some settings it runs now like a
workstation.
It is very stable und boots much faster than xp.

| | Can Win server 2003 serve as a workstation with all the tasks that can be performed in normal workstation OS like games, multimedia, desktop publishing, and the like? |

| Yes. You'll need to tweak a bit to disable unnecessary serices.
