| | I don't seem to be able to get BootVis to work. I would press Optimize Now and it will restart and show the box saying that it is placing the files necessary to speed up startup, (which is Layout.ini in Prefetch). However, in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Dfrg\BootOptimizeFunction, the data for the string OptimizeComplete is No and Optimize Error is Not Run. In the Error Log, it says "Unable to open the Server service. Server performance data will not be returned. Error code returned is in data DWORD 0." I have the Server service disabled. Do I need to enable it? Also, for some reason, the first section where it is supposed to defragment, it skips this step. It seemed to happen after I installed PerfectDisk 6.0. |

| Well as far as the services go, you need to enable the COM+ System Application Management Service *AND* the Task Scheduler Service.
Cheers
