| well, i found the virus "PE_Parite.A" on my good computer...so i decided to download Norton Antivirus 2003 from kazaa, but now i am getting the stop error: ***STOP: 0x00000008e
*** (0xcd00000005, 0xF31D62A7, 0xF340DB70, 0x00000000)
Savrt.sys - ADDRESS F31D62A7 base at F31B8000, Datestamp 3d40d9c3.
please, please help me with this one, i really dont want to reformat, because its my families computer, i tried saving some files onto cd, but NERO had to close.. how do i back the registry up and what good would that do?

| ok lets get this straight, you got a virus because of trying to pirate software with a P2P thieving device. then you used same said P2P thieving device to pirate a virus protection software, and you have a problem.  and now you want help from techs who make and sell and pay for intelectual property ?
