I know this is getting quite old but does SP1a require you to change your CD key.

I what to aviod calling microsoft to activate my windows cuz I don't live in the US and I don't what to call long distance.

I just upgraded my XP Home to XP Pro.

nope, no need to reactivate after SP1. M$ does give you a toll-free number to call if you have to though.

Write your questions down on the back of a $20 dollar bill and send them to me.

It will require you to change you CD Key if you are using the illegal copy. We don't support that here.
